KC Sluggers Baseball is dedicated to the development of young baseball players in Kansas City and the surrounding area. The Sluggers teams provide the opportunity for players seeking the best in what modern baseball training has to offer, while emphasizing fundamental skills, advanced techniques, good sportsmanship and fun.
McRae was only 17 when he was selected 17th overall in the 1985 MLB draft by the Royals, the same club his father played for. He made his major league debut in 1990, and finished the season playing alongside Bo Jackson in the outfield.
He and his father, Hal, were both in the lineup for a 1987 spring training game marking the first time a father & son had appeared in the same MLB lineup.
